Our Story
Colorado Gum Care was founded in 1986 by Dr. Mark A. Wheeler, a board-certified periodontist with a vision for bringing specialist-level gum and implant care to the Broomfield community. Over the decades, that vision has grown into a multi-location practice with five highly decorated periodontists serving patients throughout the Denver metro area.
Today, Colorado Gum Care operates two convenient offices — in Broomfield and Northglenn — and is consistently recognized as one of Colorado’s premier periodontal practices. Every physician on our team holds board certification from the American Board of Periodontology, an achievement that fewer than half of practicing periodontists earn.
In 2026, 5280 Magazine once again named our team among Colorado’s Top Periodontists — a recognition our practice has earned year after year.
